Jaypee Infratech Limited has been renamed as Suraksha Infra and Developers Limited.
Suraksha Group took control of Jaypee Infratech Limited in June 2024. Since then, the group has continued working on the company's projects under the original name, Jaypee Infratech Limited. And now, Suraksha Group has officially announced its new name, Suraksha Infra and Developers Limited.
Suraksha Infra and Developers Limited will continue to manage projects such as Jaypee Greens Klassic, Jaypee Greens Kosmos, Jaypee Greens Aman, Jaypee Greens Kube, Jaypee Greens Krescent Homes etc. The individual project names have not changed. Only the company's developer name has changed.
Insolvency and Takeover by Suraksha Group
Jaypee Infratech Limited faced serious financial problems and long construction delays. Several residential projects remained incomplete, leaving thousands of homebuyers waiting for possession.
In 2017, the company entered the Insolvency Resolution Process after failing to repay its debts. The process continued for several years due to legal disputes and delays in approving a resolution plan.
On 7 March 2023, the National Company Law Tribunal (NCLT) approved the resolution plan submitted by Suraksha Group. The National Company Law Appellate Tribunal (NCLAT) upheld the plan on 24 May 2024.
Suraksha Group formally took control of Jaypee Infratech Limited in June 2024. The group then began working to complete the stalled residential projects under the approved resolution plan.
Construction Progress Under Suraksha Group
Suraksha Group is currently working on completing delayed residential projects, mainly in Jaypee Greens Wish Town, Noida.
In September 2026, the group announced plans to invest an additional ₹3,000 crore over the next two years to complete pending construction work. The company reported completing construction on 84 residential towers covering 7,913 units. It had handed over around 5,000 homes to buyers, while possession of approximately 3,000 completed apartments was still pending.
Suraksha Group has set a target to complete around 20,000 homes by 2028.
Background of Jaypee Infratech Limited
Jaypee Infratech Limited was established in 2007 under Jaypee Group. It became a major real estate and infrastructure developer in Noida and Greater Noida.
The company developed several residential townships, apartments, plots and commercial properties. Jaypee Greens Wish Town became one of its largest residential developments in Noida.
Jaypee Infratech Limited also developed the 165-km Yamuna Expressway connecting Greater Noida and Agra. The expressway opened to the public in 2012.
